PAPER FLOWERS

What you’ll need:

Instructions:

  1. Using a stencil or free hand, draw the shape of your flower stalk making sure to include different shaped leaves coming out of the sides. Also include a circle at the top of your stalk as the base for your flower.
  2. Using different coloured paper, draw different shaped petals in two sizes. You’ll need about 7 larger sized petals and 6 smaller sized petals.
  3. To create your flower, fan your larger petals in a circular shape and stick down to the circle base at the top of your stalk. To create the layered petal look, fan your smaller petal shapes in a circular shape and stick down on top of your larger petals.
  4. For the centre of your flower, simply cut out a small circle in a contrasting colour and stick this down in the centre of your flower. You can also stick pom poms here or create a paper pom pom out of shredded paper.
  5. Attach your paper flowers to your DIY Mother’s Day card or use as a decoration on your breakfast tray for mum.
